Remarks
:
This ROB is constructed across one of the busiest level crossing on trunk route between Mumbai and Delhi. The portion of the bridge within Railway limit was constructed over Electrified Railway Track.
The girders were cast at a height of about 2 metres above a bed block over a temporary staging. The temporary staging was erected during traffic and electric blocks of Railway. After casting / first stage prestressing, girders were lowered in position by hydraulic jacks, observing utmost safety for the running train. This challenging job involving 16 girders and 4 deck slabs were completed in a period of about 60 days.
The approaches were constructed with Reinforced Earth wall / Retaining Wall.
