| Description of Work : |
The Salt Export Jetty work was consisting
of : Foundation : 1000 mm dia RCC
Cast-in-Situ Bored Piles, maximum depth
of boring about 28 metres, depth of water
8 to 9 metres.
Substructure : RCC
Super Structure : Structure steel
consisting of ISMB 500, 300, MS Plates,
ISA 150 x 150 x 50, 50 x 50 x 6 , etc. and
RCC Slab.
Bollards : 60 Tonnes capacity heavy
duty Bollards (4 Nos.) 10 Tonnes Pipe Bollards

| Remarks
: |
- Piling work was done by Cable Percussion method
with the help of gooseneck and accessories.
- On Piling Muff prefabricated ISMB 500 and
300 beams (maximum length 12.7 metres) were
erected.
- Entire structural steel superstructure was
sand blast and painted with special non corrosive
marine paint, as per international standard.
- Corrosive Resistant Steel (CRS) is used for
entire work.
- Entire work was completed in the supervision
of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Chennai
in a 4 months period only
